The Bronson is Santa Cruz’s wild child, ready to throw down on any trail and pop up into the air as often as needed, which happens to be a lot. If you suffer from obsessive jibbing and chronic sending, the Bronson might make matters even worse, but at this point you’re probably ok with that. With a 160mm fork and 150mm shock, this bike is the best kind of enabler.
What’s new on the 2022 Bronson 4?
New mixed wheel platform (29/27.5)
The new Bronson is sporting a MX wheel setup with a 29” front wheel and a 27.5” rear wheel on all sizes except XS which is full 27.5”. The larger wheel up front adds that 29er trail crushing capability while the 27.5” rear wheel keeps the bike nimble and playful. Anyone who’s tried the mullet style knows it’s a great combo that really feels like the best of both worlds, and the MX platform compliments the Bronson’s unruly nature perfectly.
Proportional geometry means a perfect fit for everyone
The Bronson 4 has size-specific chainstays and seat tube angles, meaning that whether you’re small or tall you’ll have a bike that feels custom.
More room in the cockpit for better confidence and control
The new Bronson is even more capable on the descents and confident in the air. With a 15mm longer reach, 20mm higher stack, and slacker 64.5° head tube angle, you’ll have more room to get airborne and better stability on the chunky steeps.
